In the past we have set-up volunteer workdays with non-library organizations like The Friends of the Fox River, The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County, The District 300 Food Pantry and Live4Lali McHenry County. The tricky thing about these types of volunteer events is...getting volunteers to sign-up for them! We have found that most people looking for volunteer hours at the library are seeking to complete those hours within the library building itself. As far as that goes, we offer a two-hour teen volunteer program each month called VolunTeens.

March 19th is the General Primary Election. Send a photo sporting your “I Voted” sticker to [teen@aapld.org] in exchange for one volunteer service hour. Early voters count too! For more information on voting in McHenry County, visit the county elections page here.
