What counts as reading?
The Teen winter reading program counts the hours that you read.
You are free to choose whichever materials you would like to read. Any of this counts:
- Traditional print books you can hold in your hands
- eBooks on a Kindle, Chromebook, phone
- Comic books, also known as graphic novels
- Audiobooks
- Articles (newspapers, magazines)
Public libraries report all these statistics to the state government, which affects our funding. The more program sign-ups we have, the better!
